Birthday Indy-style

Last weekend we took a special trip to Indianapolis to visit Mimi, Papa and SisE to celebrate Mycah's 4th birthday. Both kids were such awesome travelers during our flights to and from, especially considering that we were not flying at ideal times of the day! When we boarded the first flight the pilot and co-pilot invited the kids into the cockpit to see all the buttons and instruments. Caleb thought he had died and gone to little boy heaven. He was stock still and speechless. Not a common occurrence these days! They both got their wings, and we made our way to our seats.

Once we landed, we had a quick dinner, we made our way home where the kids had to find all the Mimi & Papa toys before bed. Saturday was a full day. We had a breakfast of smiley-face pancakes, lots of playtime and then a lunch of yummy pizza. We like the baseball room of the pizza place, mostly because it's private, but also because you sit in the middle of a field painted on the 3 walls around you. There was an after-lunch brownie, painting and snow fun. We planned the perfect weekend to go because there was still just the right amount of snow on the ground, but the weather was not too cold, and we left just before another wave of ice and snow. They got to sled, make a snowman, a snow fort and snow angels. That evening we had a birthday party complete with a pink cake. Mimi, Papa and SisE sure know how to make our visits special. Even though it was short, it was full of fun memories!
More birthday fun to come...
