A New Baby!

Not for us! For Aunt Kim & Uncle Gregg! Eli William Green is the cutest thing since Mycah and Caleb.

At first assessment, he looks like his Daddy but has his Mama's nose.

Super Quick Update #2.1: More Fall Fun

Among other things, we did have a lot of fun pulling for the ACC Champion Clemson Tigers this fall. We got to go to the home opener in Death Valley over Labor Day.

We also managed to see or listen to bits of most of the games; which was made more difficult by the lack of cable in our home. We were also "blessed" however, with free tickets to see them... to use a southern phrase... "wear their pants around their ankles" while getting embarrassed here in Raleigh against the NC State Wolfpack. We may not have instilled some of the basic manners in Mycah and Caleb, but Amy pretty much has them trained to put on their Clemson gear every Saturday during football season.


Below, is a picture of Caleb. He decided to remove all of Mommy's reading books from her cute red bag, put it on the couch, and climb inside. We're learning more and more that the boys brain doesn't work like others' do, but at least he's cute at this point. So, he's got that going for him.

Super Quick Update #2: Fall Fun

Here are just a few pictures of the kids having fun outside in the fall.






It didn't take much of a pile for Caleb to take a dive. Fortunately, and unfortunately, we don't have a very many trees to drop very many leaves. Not much to rake, but tough to make big piles. It also appears Mycah's allergies are not fans of leaves. Good to know! Oops!

Super Quick Update #1: Halloween

My (Tim's) hope is to post a series of "catch-up" blogs for both of our loyal followers. I thought I would start with Halloween. Sorry that we've left y'all hanging since then.

Caleb was certain from the very beginning that he was going to be a Tiger. He also soon decided he wanted to be a Clemson Tiger (which, seeing as they were undefeated at the time seemed very wise). Mycah had a dilemma deciding which princess to be. Ariel won out in the end, and she enjoyed the costume, but would have preferred to have a real mermaid tail.

It was a rainy night, so trick-or-treating was minimal, but they both really enjoyed answering our door and passing out candy to other kids.

(Not really sure what Mycah is doing, but that is pretty much Caleb's stock photo pose, at best)

The hood never really made it on for long, but Caleb loved being a Tiger and preferred to wear his Clemson hat. Watching his tail flop around as he ran was pretty cute.

Fun on the Farm

Yesterday we took a family trip to Hill Ridge Farms. It was the perfect day: bright blue sky with puffy white clouds; sunny and crisp air. We had so much fun.

Yup, that's corn.
That was the single most impressive face paint I've ever seen.

This guy practiced running around obstacles.

We finished the day with a hayride around the farm where we got to pick out pumpkins.
We love autumn!

Three=Big Boy

Caleb's birthday surprise was a Big Boy Room. He was about to outgrow that cute Thomas bed, so we got a twin bed for him and gave his room a little update. Granddad made him a toy box which fits nicely at the end of the bed and holds all manor of transportation toys.
The walls will stay blue, and we are still working on rearranging the wall decor, but you get the idea.

Three

Caleb is very excited to be 3. He's a "big boy" now. And he's not too shy to say so. We had a little family party to celebrate.

Nana brought the coolest Thomas cake.
That really cool cake left some really pretty mouths and teeth too!
This Lightening McQueen racetrack was a hit.
So were these new wheels.

And these new Cars (the movie) cars. They were from Mycah. I heard her earlier that morning "helping" Caleb guess which ones they were.
The hands on hip thing is new.
And then there were several more Thomas trains to add to our collection as well as a Thomas card game and Thomas shirt.
It was a pretty good haul for a 3-year old boy. He'll be flying high on blue icing and new toys for a few days to come.
