My First Golf Lesson

Tim has been giving golf lessons all summer so last week Mycah asked when it would be her turn to have a golf lesson. Full disclosure: Tim has said from the beginning he would not push the kids to play golf and he would be totally fine if they never took an interest in chasing the little white ball around. But that being said, he was excited to take his baby girl to the range, if for nothing else but to show her off. So the lesson was set for Friday afternoon. I'm sure you could hear his heart literally break when he saw this one walking up to the range.
Mama had to go up to the sauna of an attic to get the pink and purple clubs and the pink golf bag for this event. But it was so worth it.

Daddy composed himself and began the lesson.

Seeing this twirl of a finish is just one of many confirmations that ballet lessons are in our future...very near future.
You may notice Caleb is absent from these pictures. That's because wide open spaces and metal clubs do not equal golf in his mind. It equals run fast and swing "baseball bats". Mama and Caleb had a date during the lesson. The documentation is courtesy of SisE! The evening was topped off with dinner at Zoes Kitchen-one of our new favorites, mostly for the incredible chocolate cake. Yum.

Wow! Cutest golfer I ever saw. (Sorry Morgan and Paula.) Can understand the ballerina comment though. Yet, balance and strength are both needed for golf so don't rule her out. Tim's an excellent teacher, too, so it's a combo with great possibilities. Still, it brought tears to my eyes to see them together. (I wouldn't rule out Caleb long term. His time may come and he may decide to do both baseball and golf! Not at the same time, though. However, his Daddy did both well.) Thanks for sharing. (Need to visit Zoe's soon I can tell.) Love, PJ

Couldn't you just die? MY heart is breaking... this is the sweetest thing.

I love Zoe's Kitchen. I do not love that Raleigh waited until I left to get one. Boo.
