Seattle, WA

Before we left, Mama got a haircut and I accompanied her. I am very interested in hair these days and so Ms. Liz offered to give mine a little trim. I got my first official hair cut...my bangs are trimmed and the back is evened up a little. Mama says I look different...cuter, if possible.

I was a pretty good flyer. It's a long trip out to Washington! After our first flight we had some rest time in Chicago. Mama and Daddy just wanted to stay there and have the rest of the family meet us, but they didn't go for it. I also confirmed my love for ice cream there. Daddy was eating some right in front of me while trying to feed me applesauce. Now, I normally love applesauce, but seriously. If I have the choice, I'll take the ice cream thank you. Later in the week, Aunt Kim gave me some of hers. Yea for Aunts!

Once we finally got to Aunt Kim and Uncle Gregg's new house, I knew I would love it. They have 2 sets of stairs. Yes! I was very busy with that. They also have really fun chairs to plop down in. I love the leather...I just slide all over that thing. Then Granddaddy helped me slide down the banister. I heard Mama yell at him from upstairs. She said something like, "Have you lost your mind since I was a kid?"

The other cool thing is that it snowed while we were there! The Seattlites (hee-hee) say that it was not normal weather for this time of year. We definately thought it was weird. It rained a lot and was cloudy a lot, but there was also sunshine. Anyway, here we are outside checking out the snow.

We went to see the Space Needle and rode a carousel! I wasn't all too sure about it. We also went to Pike Place Market where there were tons of people and lots going on. It was very cold and rainy that day, so we didn't stay too long. We did see the men throwing fish though. Ick.

Daddy and Granddaddy only stayed for the weekend, and then Uncle Gregg left for field training on Wednesday, so it was just us girls. That was fun. Nana got up with me every morning and fed me breakfast. It was a real vacation for Mama!! We helped Aunt Kim unpack all her stuff and put it away. They have a great condo in a little waterfront town called Steilacoom. Funny name, but very cute. The views out their big windows are beautiful...like a real vacation spot.

The last day we were there, us girls went back to Seattle to the Aquarium. It was my first time seeing so many fish up close and personal. We saw tons of fish, including Nemo and Dory, birds, otters, seals and a touch tank with lots of squishy and prickly things. I loved it, but I just couldn't understand why I couldn't get in with the fish.

I loved Seattle. I hope we go back again soon. But I was really glad to get home to my Daddy. I missed him a lot!

Mycah, your haircut did make you cuter, and we didn't think it was possible, either. I can't get over how many adventures you had! I know your Aunt Kim was tickled to have you visit her new place.
