This may come as a surprise to some of you who only see cute pictures of me sleeping, but I am learning to sleep much better. Mommy calls me Sleeping Cutie now. I am learning to sleep in longer stretches at night...which I am told is the best time to sleep...sometimes even 5 whole hours in a row.

Big things happened this past weekend and I was even awake for a little bit of it. On Friday Nana and Grandaddy brought by my dresser. It looks great, don't you think? It keeps all my clothes and things organized and holds a comfy changing pad so I don't have to get changed in my crib now. I can't believe Grandaddy made it all by himself. I will get to use it even when I have big-girl clothes. Mommy had to help me organize my stuff, but it is getting there...notice how the books are aligned by height...I get that from my Great Granny.

So now I get to sleep in my crib. I like it in there. It is so spacious; a girl can really stretch out. But, since I still don't really recognize my own hands and feet, Mommy and Daddy keep me swaddled so I can know where I am.

Then on Saturday I got to go to my friend Elijah's third birthday party at his house, with Gabriel and Aunt Karen and Uncle James. I slept through the whole thing, but I got to wear my super-cute "party dress". I like parties, I promise, but I just get so tuckered out on the way and no one wants to wake me up. (I think they are afraid I will eat all the cookies and cake.)

Sunday we went to church again and I slept there too. Then on Monday I got to go to Old Navy so Mommy could try on some new clothes for her smaller body. She said it was going to be fun, but I don't remember cause I slept through that again...and Gap and lunch...oh well.

Overall, life is good. I get to wear some cool outfits, like these great pink butterfly pants from my good friend Lainey. (Note I am holding my own passie for the first time!)
Oh yeah, I am sorry to say that my Tigers lost in the finals of the NIT. Winthrop didn't do very well, and Meredith didn't even have a shot, and the poopoo Pack lost to some Hillbillies...that is what Daddy said. But those Mountain folk ended up beating my Tigers, so I guess they weren't so bad after all. Daddy says I shouldn't be a bitter loser. But, Mommy and I won the family NCAA pool, and she says I need to learn how to be a gracious winner. I would rather work on being a gracious winner.
If I could just figure out how to stay awake in that comfy car seat, I might see a little bit more of the world. But, I plan to be around for a while and see all of you sometime soon.
See ya.

Okay little Bean, shopping rule number one: stay awake! You have to show Mommy what you want her to buy you. And don't worry about the budget. You just pick out whatever you want, then you try on your little outfits for your Daddy. You tell him that whichever ones don't look cute on you can be returned. (My guess is that you'll get to keep 'em all.)
Rule number two: it's always easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission!
My guess is that your sweet Aunt Kim will be more than happy to help you remember these rules.
very good rules, mama jenn! i whole-heartedly concur. we'll get lots of experience in shopping...i'll teach you all there is to know. just make sure we have mommy's little plastic card. it might go farther than mine (well, not if she stays home to take care of you forever!).
i'm glad you're in your big girl bed (i.e. the crib) and you can be organized (mommy's little girl!). hopefully i'll get to see it all this weekend. you ready for the easter bunny?? :-)
