Caleb is out and done only because he got to take his boat out of the bath with him. But he put it down on the bathroom floor for a few seconds (while he ran out to get a tractor). Mycah is now out of the bath and spies it. "I want the boat," she begins to wail. "You can have a turn in a minute. Please stand still. That means stop moving. I can't get this nightgown on if you don't stop moving. Caleb is playing with that right now. You can have a turn in a minute." And then, Caleb comes back in the bathroom, picks up the boat and hands it to Mycah. Very quietly. Very gently.
Time stood still. The Earth stopped spinning. The veil was rent. Heaven and Earth collided.
Not really. But it sure was a sweet moment. Something did get through-that whole sharing lecture. I praised Caleb up one side and down the other. He grinned and gave me a high five.

Great post. I can't even imagine you losing your temper but trust me, I've been there many times. Good job seeing fruit after a long day!
